While attending spa school in 2008, Krista began building her skills and clientele while a student at The Elizabeth Grady School in Medford Massachusetts. While required to attain over 100 hours of clinic time working on people, she made sure she took on extra hours, coming in on weekends and nights to meet people. She completed school in less then a year, graduating July 2009 with a dual license and diploma in Massage therapy for 750 hours as well as a 600 hour esthetics license. She also obtained a certificate for makeup artistry and spa therapy.
After graduation, she utilized her time by meeting one on one with clients she had made during school clinic while also putting her other skills to use such as waxing and makeup. Krista's main focus is currently massage, doing chair events for wellness fairs and spa expos while furthering her education in the field anyway she can. She became a certified natural health consultant in 2012 and has other certificates pending. Although freelancing since 2009, Krista created The Body Bar offically in 2013, giving her practice a face and name. The Body Bar is based around a cocktail theme, bringing fresh ideas, unique services and fun into the spa world, with a twist. Her tagline "mixology for the soul" is based on her belief that every treatment should be customized to the clients core needs, creating a individual body "cocktail".
She takes pride on being a healer and health guide while bringing balance, comfort and motivation to anyone looking for a natural, positive change for their mind, body and soul. Experiencing her own struggles with ailments makes her relatable and sympathetic to any issue brought to her. She approaches every client and every body with an open mind and desire to help.
